I am babysitting my brother and sister now; they are sitting in front of me as I type this question.
We were playing Hangman earlier and when we were done, my brother took the drawing and altered it so that the man had a meteor hitting his head and blood coming out of his body.
He does play video games but they're [mostly] non-violent ones, like Iron Man and Mario Kart.
He loves to watch TV but sticks to programs like iCarly, The Suite Life On Deck and SpongeBob.
He isn't sheltered, so please don't make unnecessary assumptions.
I don't know what my brother's dad allows him to view when he's visiting him but it's possible that he's more relaxed in regards to limiting material to which my sibling has access.
Overall, he's a good kid but he does demonstrate anger issues every now and then.
For example, he will, at times, attempt to hit me, my mother or her mate if he gets upset and/or we tell him to do something he doesn't want to do.
However, he will stop before actually doing it if someone says something like, "Don't you dare hit me!"
What do you think?|||Seems fairly normal. I know that when I was young, the other boys and I loved drawing bloody battle scenes with explosions and guns and such, and we turned out just fine.
Occasional anger issues like that are normal with kids, as is the hitting. That doesn't mean you should accept it though, it's a behavior you should try and change.|||The drawing are , maybe not OK but e;s just reflecting what he see, the HITTING is a problem , try %26amp; stop him doing it
OR hit him if he hits someone else , so that he knows how it feels.|||I babysit twins that are both 7 year olds. They do the same stuff, but their mom and dad curses alot and fights alot.. Im guessing its normal:)|||Sounds like a typical boy just needs discipline and love.|||well it might be school that's bothering him peer pressure, influence stuff like that|||i believe it is natural for a boy to draw and maybe play war some times. i know i drew that kind of stuff and loved war and all kinds of stuff like that and i never saw any Violante movies of tv or any thing that would be considered adult like. but hitting others is not natural it is down right rude. even at the age of 7. i have a cousin who is autistic and has a problem when he gets mad or fustrated he used to try to hit but now he has learned you do not hit others. hope to have helped you.
